Strong Minds Strong Kids celebrates 50 years of promoting youth mental wellness
A milestone anniversary highlights five decades of resilience-building programs, supported by leading sponsors and capped by the Nov 14 Growing Strong Minds Conference and evening Growth Gala in Toronto.
Strong Minds Strong Kids, Psychology Canada marks 50 years of leveraging psychological science to strengthen the mental wellness and resilience of Canadian children and families. Since its founding, the organisation has reached millions through evidence-based programs delivered nationally with volunteers, partners, and community leaders. The celebration recognises Presenting Sponsor Dr. Dan Andreae, Patron Sponsor RBC Insurance, the Jackman Foundation, and 21 additional sponsors. Festivities culminate on November 14, 2024, with the daytime Growing Strong Minds Conference and the evening Growth Gala at the Marriott Eaton Centre in Toronto, featuring two-time Olympian Sam Schachter. Looking ahead, SMSKPC plans to expand its reach and adapt programs with technology to ensure every child can access practical mental-health resources.
