Quinn Family Future Foundation commits $150,000 to expand Stress Busters
A five-year gift from the Quinn Family Future Foundation will expand SMSK’s Stress Busters program for at-risk children across Canada.
The Quinn Family Future Foundation has pledged $150,000 over five years to Strong Minds Strong Kids, Psychology Canada, boosting access to Stress Busters, an eight-week program for grades 4–6 that merges evidence-based stress-management from Kids Have Stress Too! with a peer-support approach. Since its 2021 pilot, 1,000 children have completed the program, which covers understanding stress, deep breathing, problem-solving, and other coping skills in weekly one-hour sessions. The new funding aims to increase reach five-fold, enabling a further 5,000 at-risk children to participate over the next five years.
