PEER MENTOR PROGRAM

Overview

The Peer Mentor program equips high school students with the skills to support and empower their peers through stress management and resilience-building strategies.

Developed as an extension of our Stress Lessons: Tools for Resiliency (Grades 9-12) program for educators, this program transforms students into Peer Mentors, strengthening their school’s mental health culture.

The Peer Mentor Program helps teens:

  • Deepen their understanding of stress management.

  • Build leadership and communication skills to mentor peers.

  • Become mental wellness ambassadors in their schools and communities.

What Others are Saying About this Program

“I work in retail and interact with many people. Before this program, I saw a lot of down days and a simple ‘How’s your day?’ rarely opened a real conversation. This program gave me practical ways to connect and help. I mostly speak with adults, and they need support too.”

— Peer Mentor participant

“I came in stressed and not feeling great. After the training and activities, I felt much better and genuinely learned how to manage my stress and support others with theirs.”

— Peer Mentor participant
